Welcome to The Blue Plate, the home and heart of Chef Adam and Elli Roustom. We created the perfect little spot in the Vail Valley to gather with your best friends to share great food. For lunch. For dinner. For happy hour. And for special events.
We’re easy to find – at 48 East Beaver Creek Blvd. in Avon, Colorado – but our take on cuisine is a little off the beaten path. For us, it’s about offering fine dining with a casual and fun twist. We call our menu a “melting pot.” And it’s not because we have fondue! Our inspiration comes from a global palette of flavors.
Where did our idea for a melting pot menu come from? Both Chef Adam and Elli have family ties outside the U.S. Adam’s family is from Syria and Elli grew up in Austria. They believe that America is a melting pot and wanted their menu to reflect the ideal.

Have a seat. Dining inside? We have plenty of room, at a table or at the bar. Don’t forget our outdoor deck and garden seating. It’s dog-friendly and a comfy place to take in our short but spectacular summers. You might notice the vintage gondolas set up outside. You can dine in them, too. We offer a special 4-course chef’s dinner in the gondolas, by reservation.
Ready for lunch or dinner? Start with some tapas. Then, let’s take a trip around the globe. Your first stop may be in Asia for our tangy tempura fried shrimp. Or to the Mediterranean via our creamy Damascus hummus. Perhaps you’ll savor Austrian cuisine with our legendary melt-in-your-mouth schnitzel. Or opt to stay in America and tuck into our perfectly-fried New England-style fish & chips. Picking and choosing from the menu at The Blue Plate is half the fun!
Why stay on one continent? Try the Leaning Tower of Blue Plate Meatloaf, where we blend the classic flavors of America, France, and Syria. Oh, my!
We also like to add a fun twist to our food. And we don’t want anyone to miss out. Our menu is 65% gluten-free and includes many dairy-free options. We also have a full kid’s menu, too.
How About a Round of Happy Hour Drinks?
We have a rotating selection of fine wines, beers, and signature cocktails. May we recommend a watermelon martini, sipped slowly and with purpose under the crab apple canopy of our garden patio? How about a glass of sparkling rosé with your flourless chocolate cake? Mix it up. Have fun. We do!
